Berlin based argentinian artist MARINA ZUMI is known for her extra-large, colorful murals which cover entire buildings in seemingly cosmic illustrations, and has ’connection’ as the core theme of her work. By experimenting with textiles in the studio, she developed an autodidactic hand embroidery technique using art canvas, in which mathematical and sacred geometry sink and flow in a subtle way. As well as with her unique spray style, she creates delicate and gentle images on walls and in her studioworks.
’SunSet SunRise’, created in 2021, is a sprayed fine art piece that gives off summer vibes. The neat gradient, the sharp edges and the translucent interrupted column have characteristics of a digital work and looks surreal. The column here symbolizes the breaking point or break through with your own patterns, beliefs, lives and the handrails from the swimming pool is an invitation to jump into the light.
