“It’s about the story it tells only you!”
Rabea Senftenberg is one of the most famous street artists in Germany and one of the most important female representatives of this style. Her art is not in any way linked to the supposedly ubiquitous spray can; as she never uses it. Rather, ink, markers, Indian ink, pens are her means of creating her own universe on the streets.
Ghosts, cats, monsters and robots, all masterfully drawn down to the finest detail, are stuck on entrance doors and under rain gutters, beautifying dirty corners and house walls. All originals and all in black and white. Her signature style has brought her to places such as Botswana, NYC and galleries across Europe. The artist, who has created her own genre through her work, lives and works in Berlin.
The artwork All I Need is Party was inspired by her connection to the Berlin club scene. To her it was not only a need during the pandemic to create this artwork, it also became a real support in becoming part of the book “Hush, Berlin Club Culture in Times of Silence” by Marie Staggat & Timo Stein, with proceeds from the publication being donated to the city's clubs.
